  2. Overland Kids Safety Town

    Sponsored by the Overland Police Department, Kids Safety Town is a program that teaches children how to deal with strangers, fire safety, poisons in the home, caution around pets, bicycle and neighborhood safety using a mock city layout, and railroad safety. This program is under the guidance of police officers and trained volunteers and is open to all children between the ages of 4-6 yrs old at no cost, but registration is required. A maximum limit of 40 children will be accepted into this program. The program will be held from June 11-22, 2018 from 9-11 am at Wild Acres gym, 2500 Ashby Road.   3. Overland Kids Summer Day Camp Program

    The Overland Summer Day Camp for Kids is here again! This year look for more great games, exciting field trips, and creative fun crafts! This 6 week day camp will be held at Norman Myers Park and the Overland Community Center, Monday thru Friday, from 9 a.m. till 3p.m. starting June 11, 2018 and continuing through till July 20, 2018. Our friendly and experienced staff will be there to assess your child’s needs with a strong commitment in providing a safe and secure environment. Registration will begin on April 17, 2018 at 7 am at the Overland Community Center and is open to all kids between the ages of 6-12 yrs old that reside within the Ritenour School District.   4. City of Overland's River City Casino Day Trip

    June 26, 2018, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ City of Overland Frank Munsch Community Center

    A full, fabulous day of slots, roulette and cards is scheduled for Overland residents on Tuesday June 26, 2018. Join us for a trip to the River City Casino in South City St. Louis and take advantage of round trip transportation, and five hours of fun. Those ages 50+ will enjoy a discounted lunch buffet of buy 1, get 1 half off. Fee is $15 per person. The bus will depart from the Overland Community Center, 9225 Lackland Road, at 9:00 a.m. and return around 3:00 p.m. This trip is limited to the first 35 people who sign up at the Overland Community Center. Your name, address, and date of birth will be needed at the time of registration. Plan to tell your friends and join us for a wonderful day at the casino.   5. City of Overland Positive Dog Training Class

    June 26, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Wild Acres Banquet Hall

    This class emphasizes the relationship/reward based training techniques through the use of positive reinforcement marker training. Learn how to understand and communicate with your dog to effectively change unwanted behavior without force or negative punishment. At the end if the class, each participant is eligible to take the American Kennel Club (AKC) Star Canine Good Citizen Test. This class meets will be held on Tuesdays at Wild Acres Banquet Hall from 6:30 – 8 pm for 7 weeks starting June 19, 2018. Pre-registration is required at the Overland Community Center, which will include payment and proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP-Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, and parainfluenza.) The cost of the entire session is $35 for individuals with an OCC Membership and $45 for individuals without an OCC Membership. This class has 10 spots available and is open to all dogs 4 months and older. Dog owners must be present for each class and the first class is for humans only.
