St. Louis County is an Urban County entitled to receive Community Development Block Grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The City Of Overland is a participating jurisdiction that is entitled to receive and utilized Block Grant funds for eligible activities through the County's Community Development Block Grant Program.

In order to accomplish this, the City Of Overland is required to submit an application for funds to the Office of Community Development on annual basis.

The Director of Public Works and the Community Development Coordinator are responsible for the submittal of the Community Development Block Grant application, all required paperwork, and for carrying out / overseeing the projects that are funded by this grant.
